Hey guys, this might sound a little funny but I’m trying to get a foal that looks as similar to the Hidalgo horse as I can get. I have a Chesnut Splash Frame mare. But I need a stallion close to the same color that I can breed to, so I can try for the foal I’m wanting.

Breedings offers would be fantastic, but if needed I’d be willing to buy too! I can always wait until next season.

Just a warning that you don't want to cross her with another frame as you would have the risk of a lethal foal.

You could definitely cross her with another dark chestnut splash. If you cross her with a Het Frame stallion there is a 1/4 chance that their foals will be Lethal....so you just need to decide if you want to live with that risk.

I would probably look for a dark chestnut splash stallion with no W20. I think having Lots of W20 on the foal may give it too much white to do what you want.

I think you’re definitely looking for the splash-Frame interaction, the splash blue eyes and that dark red coat.
