To Geld or Not To Geld
-
I've been on a lucky streak lately with brindles; I've bred three in the last three seasons and all have passed SBA. This fellow, though, was a particular pleasant surprise.
Brindle, pearl carrier and het snowflake. He passed SBA and is consistent. Unfortunately, he comparison tested as good as his sire and as good as the brindle colt I bred last season. I have tried to be fairly strict on my gelding criteria but I'm so very tempted to ignore the criteria with this one!
What would you do?

I would keep him as a stallion, he's gorgeous. If you ever want to sale him at any time please let me know :)

If you decide you don't want him I'll gladly take him(only if intact) but maybe test him to your best in pasture (if stud) and then decide on keeping him or not.Wolfgang Pride ID 554
Always willing to help. Licensed for everything. Specialize in Liver Chestnuts, Chocolate Palominos, Sabino, Tobiano. But I breed everything except Frame

He is a stud! I have an "A" papered second gen from the same stallion but I may have to keep both. But, it would be far too painful to geld him. I dream of the day of producing a home-bred brindle snowflake.

I would keep him as a stud for sure! What a genetic bounty!Fine appaloosa riding horses, Axiom blue and green, ice 1, ice 2, and ice 8

Definitely don't geld him - there would be lots of people interested in buying him if you don't want him. He's gorgeous by the way :)Breeding brown/liver/black with white spotting drafts. If you ever fancy straws PM me. PM me if you need help with GE.
