    dp is an entirely separate gene that darkens the coat, like sooty. You need three darkening genes (SstySsty DP or SStyS DPDP) to get a liver, and all four to get a black liver. DP cannot be tested for, and many people who breed it develop an eye for it.

    KP is Kit Promoter. When a horse has two Kit mutations (can both be the same one) and is homozygous for KP, the horse will have random hazy white patches on its coat. It is not testable.

    GP is Gulastra Plume. It is also not testable, and shows up on bay based horses when it is homozygous. It causes the tail to be white/gray from the bottom up. However not all horses with white at the bottom of their tails have GP. Splash and other genes that cause white on the legs will also have this effect.
