Which boy should I pick for Rainbow Riot?

The links don't go to their horses. If you scroll down the horses page, you can find a copy-able link that if you post into these forums, will show the horses photo and give a link as the name all in one.

With RR, Ammit has said it works best with bay based horses, so I'd avoid any chestnuts.

I just found this boy, he's a PF too. Thanks for your help guys. I know PF is the way to go and I can just breed to patterned mares if I choose.

I might get another before the sale ends. I chose to get one copy of Water Color for this 4th boy. He has perfect color variance and perfect breeding ability. :D

Heza is a liver, so chestnut based. He and his foals may not look all that flashy with watercolour.

There weren't any examples I didn't like, It was just prettier when the coat had different colors which this one does. Most livers do not unless they have Pangare.

Ammit did say that it works better with horses that are black based but I think that was also just that the colors are more prominent. So, it's really based on preference. I believe the red based showed up more pastel but, I could be wrong.

Good to know! I need to go look more closely through the examples. I just love his color so still leaning towards the Expro bay pinto but also trying to decide if I'm just going to do watercolor or also plaid. Lol soooo many decisions

These are the first out of what Foundation Mares I had lying around. This is too much fun. What is really neat is that I can focus solely on breeding ability because they are ALL pretty.

It's not that they are just more prominent. Black based horses get a second set of colors added to them.
