Yeah, I need to shuffle stuff around. I probably put it up here sooner than I should have!

Rose, I see it, now! Thank you! Now to see if I can DO it. I have some ideas. I do want more color variety than some of those examples, though... Hmmm. I've got some staring and thinking to do !

Hey, Wolfgang, did you know that we're counting votes by the number of Thanks'? If you don't see the 30 already on that post, it's probably because you're on the mobile forum site. You can go to the desktop version by scrolling down to the bottom of any forum page and clicking the faint type that says Full Site. then you can click Thanks on any posts you like. :)
And as far as I know, you can vote on as many of the posts as you like, not just The One you think should win. Plus, she'll pick more than one, so why not? :)

Autumn is such a beautiful season. Each morning and evening, the sun makes for a stunning display on the horizon. Alders are my favorite because of the sound their leaves make in the wind and the rich, vibrant change of colors.

I am not opposed to hearing constructive criticism.

Edit: And it is late in the night, so I cannot figure out how to post an image.

It's nice. :) I think the cart wheels should be a little darker. They blend in to the grass as it is. And maybe greyer? Since old wood greys.
Also, I think the link is fine, but if you put it into the button with a little landscape on it in the comment editor you should have it posted here. :)

Bourbon, if I can bring myself to put up my pathetic attempts, then YOU can certainly manage an autumn look!

Plus, autumn looks different everywhere! Autumn in Antarctica probably doesn't look like more than just a bit LESS ice and snow!

I've been sitting on this one for a while, since Confluence Farms inspired me to investigate autumn in deserts, because I wasn't sure if it fit the fall theme. But some cacti bloom in the fall as temperatures drop so I had fun drawing the flowers.

Edit: Yay! I think I figured out how to post images. :D

What are apps do you guys use :) I’m just cerious because I want to try :) all the art apps I’ve tried don’t work well for me or I can’t find them I have a chrome tablet/ laptop and a regular Apple iPad

Wow ritsika, that's almost exactly what autumn looks like here in the desert, we don't get snow or leaves changing color, the most we get is cooler temps and more brown colored stuff lol I love your picture it's gorgeous

@OakCreek13 I use Krita, it's freeware, and they have a version for apple mac OSX. Not sure if you could run it on an Ipad, but it's worth a look.

@OakCreek13 I am using Autodesk Sketchbook on a HP Chrome tablet. They have a free version, but I upgraded. I will say that I have been drawing for a long time, but have always been afraid of trying digital art. I downloaded the app for this contest, watched a few tutorials on YouTube, and have been having been having a blast.

I do most of the work in MSPaint, then for finishing touches I use Artweaver. Its free, and my sister (a real artist! Gets paid to do art and everything!), tells me it's like a teeny slice of Photoshop.

Rits, I was wondering how that one was coming! It is just lovely!

Ooooh,promising!

If you want to really simply add a foreground hill for the horse to stand on, have grass in a bright green (colors are generally brighter the closer they are) overlap the fence from the left side. Overlaps are a quick, subtle way to signal the eye (without shouting it at the face) that something is in front of something else. One wrong overlap line can sometimes be the difference between something working and something being strangely off. :)

I think there will be a horse head right on the top of that fox. You have to consider where the horse will be in the art. :)

Use an image from the game to see. Just paste it in. :) You should try a range of sizes but 16hh is the default.

I think it fits with the game art perfectly, but aren't the fences a little bit too high? They're higher than most of HaJ horses.

Thanks! I made them that high because we do have horses that reach the top of the frame, so it would be strange for the fence to be too small for them. :)

It reminds me of a gazillion country roads I partied on in high school! It was usually after dark, though! I did ride my horses down a bunch as well! :D

Ok! I know this is a little late but I had to completely restart it yesterday because I messed the whole thing up T-T But I think I might like this one. I think the edges are a little sharp but I could get my softening tool to cooperate so I left it. I hope I didn't forget to do anything!
