I believe Ice 7 is not just closed but private. Only one player owns the gene on this version of the game. Releasing the gene to other people would, I think, be at her discretion but she will have paid Ammit a lot of money to have a private gene so it’s highly unlikely that she will ever let it out of her barn.

I didn’t see it in the FAQ list, which is why I thought it was private.

So 4Star that means that it’s possible that at some future unknown date Ammit might put Ice 7 on sale again. You could then purchase it for one of your foundation horses (one that is 4 years old or less and has no living foals) and breed it into your appy line. But you can’t purchase current stock because the only way to get the gene is to own a foundation that has it.
