Unaltering altered horses

Is it worth unaltering an altered horse? My most expensive foal to date just failed SBA. She was a gold too :'(User ID: 25715

It is if you will use them! Just because they did not compare favorably to both parents does not mean they would not be useful to your herd.Need to contact me? Read this first. I try not to unalter, but I will unalter a test tube baby that papers where I expected them to. I also will say I usually don't test my Lab babies with SBA. As long as they pass BA and paper where I want them to, I keep them intact.Thanked by 1SenlacOld

If it is gold and many of your mares aren't then I would most certainly. Also check to see is if was altered due to inconsistency. My first star was gelded and I unaltered him and made him consistent and then he got a PT boost and passed testing.All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.Thanked by 1SenlacOld

Senlac ill give you another egg for free if this one makes it then leave this filly altered yea I wouldn't use SBA on the new foal as long as it passes BA and papers gold or star she/he is good :)

In alter the baby it's for the best :) if you want you can also boost the baby so it has a higher chance of passing SBA but it's not cheap if you're willing to spend that
