    You mean manually training? You COULD stop after they level off, I suppose, but you would miss out on that teeny bit of extra edge that might get you points in the show ring.

    The bonus a horse gets from training decreases after it has leveled off, but it still gets some extra nudge from training. Maybe you heard something like that but misread/misremembered it?

    You might be thinking of when a horse is sitting levelled off at the very top of a class but sometimes the extra training pushes it up to last place of the next class :)
