Splash 2 Or 1?

    Does this mares have splash 2 or just regular splash? I think it's splash 2 but just wanna make sure.

    She's homozygous splash 1. Splash 2 would be notated as C70Y.

    According to her gene test results, she's Hom for Splash 1, or SpS.

    If she was Splash 2, she would have PAX3-C70Y in her gene test results.

    From the GMT Lab: "Splash 2 - PAX3 splash is caused by a different gene from normal splash. It is more aggressive and results in bigger white markings. It is normally homozygous lethal so only a single copy will ever show on the image. + is wild type and no splash, while C70Y is splash mutation."

    Oh that makes so much more sense! I thought her test results would just say that she had splash and that it was up to the owner to find out what type it was. This makes things so much easier. Thanks again for the awnsers :)
