So it is actually a total coincidence but I happen to have pony that at this time of year just as she starts to get her winter coat in who goes such a dark chestnut she looks almost black, her she is from today. You can also see her cool tobiano roaning and her flaxen tail
Please excuse the fatness of her, sadly that is the occupational hazard of having a shetland pony this time of year, she also hasn't been brushed in a while so is a mess.

Thank you guys, this is what she looks like in winter, she's a totally different colour and actually a healthy weight, she has always been a nightmare to try to keep a healthy weight.

Oh she's gorgeous, I love the shetties and she's a lovely colour! My house mate has a black liver welsh stallion, he really does look black but is of course a chestnut!

Shes super cute. She actually looks like a dark silver to me not red. Do you have a picture of her in her summer coat before she starts growing her winter hair?

I like to see these shetlands. I think theyre adorable but since minis are 'my' breed and are often crossed with american shetlands and american shetlands have been getting more and more popular over the last few years thats what Im used to seeing. And I absolutely love american shetlands theyre so fancy. But these guys are always fun to look at cause theyre just cute lol

@MoonAcre Stables I get that a lot when people see her but so far silver has not been found in British Shetlands, I'll get summer photos when I'm on my laptop in a bit. She actually looked kinda red this year

I don't seem to take as many photos of Gayle compared to some of the others, probably because all he does is eat all day, here she was in her summer coat.
