I've been thinking about what to use for my breed name, and I honestly have no idea :)) I was thinking maybe Shadoe (after my horse's name) but I don't know if that's a good idea, or if it's too close to the word shadow. I was also thinking of maybe a word in another language, but I couldn't find anything 8-| So any ideas would be welcome!

Ooh I really like Caligo! I might use that one. Misti is the name of my dog that just recently passed away, so it'd be sweet to name it after her ;;)

So,,,in Tolkien Quenyan (one of his older elvish languages) there is a place name that literally means "Shadowy Twilights." It's described as a cold, Misty land to the north, walled by mountains on three sides. The alternative translation for the word is "Land of Mists".

The word is Hisilome (with a whole bunch of accents).

It brings together both shadow and mist...so that might be an option for you.

(I have a Tolkien dictionary bookmarked because the various languages are a great source for horse names!)
