I am crying tonight...

    Came home to find my 14 year old dog Gracie dead in our road. She got hit tonight. I have her daughter but Gracie was my baby.

    I feel bad for her daughter Etta. She laid right beside her as we dug her grave tonight. She doesn't want to come in. I understand why she has been with her mom everyday. My oldest son is hurting. Never easy for the kids.

    I'm so sorry losing a pet is always horrible, especially when it's one that you had such a strong bond with. :( At least she got to live a long and happy life with a family that she knew loved her very much, and you got to spend many wonderful years together. It sounds like she was an important part of your family for a very long time and I'm so sorry for your loss.

    I am so sorry to hear! At least she had a good life. Pets are better than friends in many cases, and is hard to let them go, especially when you don't expect it.
