How are you using your Mr. Meteoric Milestone straw?
  • If he isn't boosted, how is he better than perfect foundations, PT-wise?

  • The occasional perfect Foundation will have a 10.0 PT. This especially happens on horses created by Ammit in the Cloning Lab. If you do a search for foundations and sort by PT you will find several others. It's quite rare but not unheard of. My Weekend Wishes, created by Ammit in the cloning lab, was a 10.0 PT perfect Foundation.
  • I am seriously considering my freaky friday mare. The baby would definitely be liver. Does anyone know if Mr Meteoric Milestone is hom or het dp?

Also does one copy of pearl on a liver horse create chocolate palominos, or does it have to be cream?

This is the girl in question. Only one copy of w20 as an extra, but she is beautiful.

Solid white Palamino and sadly not a draft. I hope he throws big flashy babies.
  • Also, if you GMT a horse's consistency, it can make their PT 10, usually if they're already at a PT of 9.5 and inconsistent.
  • it has to be cream, het pear on it's own doesn't make any change.
All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.
  • if anyone doesnt have any mares because they bred them all this season and are too impatient to wait until next - feel free to look through my foundation mare herd. Lots of unbred rank specials and other creates id be happy to put them up for breeding!
  • Id be interested @MoonAcre!

  • I'm saving my straw for next season and using it on one of my King's Ransom mares. As long as I pick one with no Kit genes except for Roan, I should be fine and not risk getting a lethal foal.
  • I was thinking about using my straw on this mare next season

I came to same verdict Raintree. Color wise there are no lethal combos, no white factor, and mine is the tallest and heaviest out of my choices. If I calculated right, She should give me the greatest chance for a draft foal.

  • Yeah that's what I was thinking timber. I can't wait to breed next season! I hope you get a draft baby. Your girl is gorgeous
  • I'm debating on using it on one of these three girls.

  • I'm also struggling to find a mare to use for this special straw. All of mine are exceptionally plain (like, Chestnuts and Bays lol) and I want to make sure the foal is something special.

Ideally of course I'd find a mare that's a PF with S+ and pearl to kind of maximize the chance of the foal getting some of the fun genes since I have none of those genes in my herd, but what're the chances of me finding a good quality foundation mare with those genes to breed lol.
  • @ElementalStables - Foundations (with the exception of this guy) cant have s+ unless its GMTd on them but they can have pearl! However there might be a chanc that you'll be able to find someone who would be willing to let you breed to their GMTd s+ mare!

Remember if anyone needs a mare I'd be happy to put one up for brood for 500 hbs. But its gotta be in the next couple hours if its going to be this season. But the offer still stands for next season if youre trying to find the perfect mare!

I honestly didn't put a lot of thought into it. I created a hom k20 mare and she ended up being chestnut. She was yellow and the stud was C, so I used her. I'm thinking I hit the jackpot with him :)

  • Ok you guys have persuaded me to go with one of the Yule Logs I have. I just wish we could get pasture bonus :( I have to wait til July now though. All mares are bred. Unless I find myself a black PF .... no I will wait... ;)

  • Everyone's foals are super pretty!

I'm debating on which mare to use. I still have these two perfect foundation mares open for this year. Or I could wait a few days and have more options though losing pasture bonus on some.

To be able to use the straw, I am planning to purchase a one month premium upgrade.

    Thoughts?
  • I couldn't wait and bought a PF from foundation rescue for mine

I'd go for the less white one (bottom one) but it's down to a lot of luck. Fingers crossed.

She's a little genetic gold mine! No boosting neccessary (still slightly afraid to put her through BA in the off chance she's a better show horse)!
  • @RunFarAway, why do you need a premium upgrade to use your straw? Only a basic upgrade is required to collect and use straws and it looks like you already have one. Basic upgrades can also do embryo transfer. You only need a premium upgrade if you want to pull eggs, do an egg flush, or clone a horse. Basic upgrades can do all of the other advanced breeding lab things.

Also, I'm almost positive that she would pass regular breeding advice. I've never seen a Red papered 2G filly from a C X yellow pairing get spayed by BA unless she was super inconsistent, and your girl tested consistent. She's absolutely gorgeous! :D
  • wow - she's a stunner :)

  • I didn't boost - felt if I did and he/she was still altered I would have cried a lot! :D

  • I want to use my straw on one of my King's Ransom mares next year (got lucky and got a few of these cheap from the PA and sales board). I want to use a mare with no Kit genes so I don't risk having a lethal white foal. Anyway, I was looking at my breeding age King's Ransom mares and I noticed that I had 2 with identical genetic tests but one of them was darker and a little more of a golden color than the other one. On a hunch, I decided to look at the darker one in the GMT lab since she has no foals and she's hom DP! :D I don't have the option to change either one of her DP alleles, they both just say that no edits are available for this gene. I'm super happy that she's hom DP and she's definitely going to be the one to get my straw next season. Fingers crossed that the foal turns out intact!

  • @windward I only just got the upgrade about an hour ago. Originally was going to go premium (couldn't spoil myself too much with only 1 month of it right?) but did some math and realized the basic would have a higher income over 3 months vs 1 month of premium. Also I hadn't done the PT test on her when I first posted. But thanks for all the great info!

I can't wait to see your foal next season though!
  • I used a PF chestnut mare and got this little girl!

She papered red but I'm still too scared to BA her. What do ya'll think?Would she pass?

  • She's red papered and is from a C X yellow pairing, so I don't see why she wouldn't pass. She's definitely not worse than her parents and she's at least a tiny bit better than them, even if she's a very low Red. And she's consistent so she won't potentially get snipped because of inconsistency. I don't have access to SBA so I don't know if that could potentially snip her, but you should be fine with regular breeding advice. That's not a guarantee though!

  • Are we allowed to buy the straw from another player ? If so I'm interested in any extras.

    This is my chosen girl.

  • Okay, @dinascar and @bluejumpingbean, I need to see those two horses bred together. I know its inbreeding but need to see what foals come out.

  • @Timber, they both have w10 though. Hom w10 is always lethal unless the foal has a white factor of none, all other white factors with hom w10 give you a dead foal.
  • I know - they are so alike :) I think the filly just wins it with that white spotting up her side. ;)

  • Yeah - have already written myself a note not to breed with what.

  • I personally don't risk anything - if there's a chance of a dead foal - I just don't do it. Plenty of lovely fillies out there for him later. Right now he needs to grow big!

  • I'm in love with their white speckled faces. That white spotting up the side is a nice touch too. Meh, now I'm going to have to start breeding white spotted palominos.

  • @fj If I were you, I'd breed him to dchest301, since she has the highest bone. Two of the drafts foals posted both had mums with a bone of over 3.00, and one of them was I think 2.87?

  • I didn't have much choice. I only had 2 mares that I haven't bred yet, so I went with the biggest hoping for a draft foal.

  • Id be a little nervous with all of her white genes! @jezmynespice1

  • @Coeur, I wouldn't go with Bewitched, she's got sabino which is potentially lethal with White 3 and White 10.
