    Can someone please tell me which genes a horse would need and/or wouldn't need to get a "pale" or "buttermilk" buckskin in the game?

    You would need a copy of E, A, and Cr but without Sty, S+, and DP (or other color changing genes) Sty S+ and DP are what give you a darker buckskin

    Pangare lightens the muzzle and belly, so would be of some use in getting pale buckskins, but its effect is fairly subtle on already light colors.

    Pangare + gives a bit more but is only available on a foundation through a few rank specials or 15GMTs in the lab.
