I'm trying to improve my era 4 line.. :)
And lots of futurity!

I think my goal for next season is going to be a mixture of organizing, and then trying out my new strategies and seeing if I like them.

I made a chart with eras on one axis. Generations on the next axis. Then used it to visualize the best way to get a nice stallion for every era. Trying to get the latest generations possible, but also trying to get higher paper on lower generations and newer eras. While at the same time still making sure that I have (some) stallions for every era.

I picked out high valuability mares based on paper/generation/colors/era etc to pull eggs from, but now Im not sure on the quantity of eggs I'd like to pull from them. Right now I have a barn filled with mares to pull eggs from. But do I want to do a full pull schedule? Or should I go by a tattoo method and just pull eggs from these mares and not flush them and then pasture breed them?

So basically last season I last second threw together some futurity horses. This season I started to make schemes, and started to get the ball rolling. And now that the ball is rolling I'm going to start field testing next season.

I just finished GMT'ing and maxxing my era 15 3G boy. He's a yearling ofc. So I'm anxious to get to breeding him. Next I will pick out a mare to max for him. Unfortunately the era 15's from my foundation stallion are a season behind

Preferably other goodies as well including but not limited to silver, Appaloosa, etc.

But most of my mares have at least het tobiano and are PF's

I could go on and on and on but I don't want to bore y'all

I will probably be doing limited breeding for the next two seasons. I'm limited on space and need HBS to get a new barn. I've got my eye set on 1000 stall barn. With what I currently have and my daily bonus I can afford it in 46 days. We'll see if I have the fortitude to stick to this plan. Breeding is so much more fun!

Great point! I think I've got some straws that have to be used by the end of next season.

@HighstormFarm she is beaaaautiful! Is she a double boost? I’m waiting for my double boost foundie mare to hit maturity, she’s just a yearling now so she’s got a bit to go. I’m so ready though, I’m impatient. My double boost foundie boy did great his first season :x

@HunterUnderSaddleGirl ooh how exciting ! I hope you get the perfect mare for him, love a tall order pony. Also it’s never a bore- I am so haj obsessed and I love talking about it, go right on ahead :x

@Minute love era breeding! I got into it rather recently after doing era 0 for eons. I have era 5 and 6 stock that’s very fancy if you need to toss in new blood- offspring will be era 4 as long as you breed them to that era, and probably have some decent era 4 ponies too :x

@BlueValley I’m obsessed with your horses! Those first two are so gorgeous. They’re all lovely. Cracked Bedrock has some of my favorite faces in his pedigree. If I see Watermelon Slice offspring in the pedigrees in auction I always try to nab them!

Also I love seeing other boosted foundie horses- it’s so fun to do double boosted lines :)) my second double boosted line is coming up soon- it makes me want to do 994949493949 of them, I caught the bug once I hit the double boosted over cap with my first one haha!

I've actually never dabbled in double boosted foundations, so this will be a fun project!
