Lack of verification in the shopping cart?

I live in the UK, so my exchange rates change constantly.
With the previous system, I could put things in the cart, then press continue or something and it would open paypal to show me the conversion rate.
I just put 5 BC in my shopping cart and pressed the continue button to see what it converted to, and it just automatically took a payment and gave me the 5 BC. Perhaps I have misunderstood the process, but it seems strange there was no option to check what paypal it's connected to, or to confirm the payment...

Sorry there has been a lot going on. I sent it to Haystack but I don't think he has any chance to even look at the ticket. (I agree that a confirmation is needed)

@Ellesmere022 If it helps for future, I always just google the exchange rate before I make a purchase on here. :) (I don't use paypal, so it's never shown me an exchange rate on here.)

Chewy.com does this to me as well. It's one of those places where once you make the initial payment and it will forever after use that as the default settings, not giving any confirmation or options for change without going into PayPal and clearing it out first.

I've noticed the same thing, although I meant to purchase, but it used to take you to the page where I chose where the payment was to come from, as I have CC as well as bank account attached to paypal. Now payment just goes straight through. Bit annoying when I noticed as of course it tried to take the money from where I didn't have any lol! But not that big a deal for me, I just moved some money around

Once Haystack is able he will be doing another look into it. We are finalizing legal documents and getting ready to send him and the kid back to the States so they don't deport our child.
