So (almost) everyone loves pets, right? Let's have a thread where we just talk about our pets. I have some oddball ones and was kinda curious if anyone else has oddball pets.
So here's my pets:

Aw this is a cute post.
I have one dog, Kai, he's a white AK husky, and has blue eyes with brown spots in them. We love skijoring

Right now we only have 2 dogs and a cat.
- Panto, 10 year old Australian Shepherd. He was my dream dog, and we have done agility, obedience, smeller, nosework, tracking, and a little sheep herding.
- Munti, 9 year old Lapponian Herder. He is my husbands, and even though I love him, he is the most annoying dog to ever walk the earth. He is darn cute though, so theres that. And he would definately be the one to alarm the world if ever there was a fire, or someone tried to get into the house.
- Eevee, 7 year old tortie cat. She is the sweetest, but very "cat", if you get my drift :))
I've always loved working dogs, but after our boys are no longer with us we will be downgrading to both smaller and less energy. I am sadly no longer able to work them as both them and me would like, so our next will be more companion than working.ID 108Thanked by 1Cottonwoods -

I was thinking of making this thread too! Yay! :)
I have 2 cats, both with epilepsy. A hypo melanistic corn snake (she's turning 2 this year and is having the backwall of her enclosure turned into a climbing wall). 3 fish tanks, each with a female betta, and then shrimp, tetras, cories, garras, are scattered in different ones depending on size and style.
I also have red wriggler worms, dairy cow, p. laevis white, dalmatian, powder blue, orange and purple isopods, white springtails and tropical pink spring tails. Some are in with the snake, others are in my compost outside.
I love gardening, so all of my enclosures / tanks are naturally planted and keep my green thumb fulfilled through the winter :)
My girlfriend has 2 dogs that spend half their time at my house, so I'll throw them in too. Her pomeranian is a registered service dog, and she also has a pug who is paralyzed from the waist down. -
How fun! I love hearing about everybody's pets!
We live in a city with limited space, so in additon to my human companions, I just have a pair of void kitties that are a bit over a year old. (Right now, they are each sleeping on their own layer of a double decker cat house.) -
@Poppidoll yay! Another person with isopods! I have springtails but I can't remember what they are called. I think the lady called them bunny ear springtails? I've never heard of those before though so not sure if that's accurate.
Also, a little update, Henevieve hatched babies today! I saw 4 before I left for work. I'll see how many there are when I get home.#28036 -

@Minute I have a video of one of my dairy cow isopods eating fish flakes from my hand. I can post it in the Facebook group, if you're in there and want to see.#28036

We have 3 dogs: 2 longhair dachshunds and 1 golden retriever
2 cats: 1 longhair and 1 shorthair (both brats lol)
I had 3 leopard geckos, but they unfortunately all passed away individually over the last few months. I'd love to get another one, but I'm not quite ready.
I had a horse fairly recently (had to part with her because of schooling, but I fully intend to jump back into the barn life when I'm done, so I'm kinda counting it lol).ID# 25784 -
@Minute They're great for keeping with reptiles, amphibians and small mammals! They keep enclosures nice and clean, fertilize the plants and provide bonus protein / calcium snacks! They're also pretty efficient composters if you're like me and don't have a lot of space for recycling kitchen scraps :)
@Haltanny It's neat to see someone else on here keeping them! You've got some cool species! -
4 dogs:
Mimi: 11 yo sable Pembroke Welsh Corgi, dam of an AKC Champion, granddam of Sadie
Sadie: 1 yo partial sable Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Lukas: 9 yo Boxer. Unfortunately old for a Boxer, getting senile and high maintenance, but we adore him.
Wyatt: Almost 2 yo German Shepherd Dog. AKA Dennis the Menace. Best trained dog in the house.
Budgies: Henry and Olga. Henry has a big vocabulary. Both are tame and hilarious.
Cockatiels: Jesse, normal grey. Whistles Andy Griffith and asks if you "wanna sing Andy?", also whistles the death march, most of the time mixing the two songs together. My boy. Will bite the bejeezus out of anyone but me. Philbert, the sweetest whiteface pearl pied boy. Doesn't bite, scream-whistle, or do anything wrong. Loves love. Dad to Denver. Denver: Whiteface boy. Learned to whistle from Jesse, but hilariously combines the two songs, poorly. Takes air baths. Not as sweet as his Dad. -
@haltanny, is that the official H&J group on FB? i couldn't see it. oops found it how cute!She/her my user # is 59035

Dogs:
Willow: almost 4yo Australian shepherd. My sport dog (obedience, rally, dock diving. Hoping to add herding, fast CAT and some agility in there too)
Mailee: 5yo german shepherd/newfoundland mix that used to be my dad's dog.
Cats:
Tessia: 1yo dilute tortoiseshell I found under my shed and immediately fell in love despite definitely not being a cat person
Ash: 1yo gray and white tabby? I was given by my neighbor. I went to get a haircut, left with a kitten and no haircut.
Bones: 5 week old kitten I'm working tirelessly to nurse back to health.
Horse:
Beatriss: roughly 15 year old Morgan cross mare. Rescued from Cranbury auction in 2016 after going through a few other auctions before.
Cow:
Stormy: 1.5 yo jersey Angus cross. She was my Christmas present for myself. Drove 6 hours round trip to pick her up the day after Christmas 2022.
Chickens:
Oldest- 1 red laced wyandotte roughly 6 years old
My dad's 9 egg layers roughly 4 years old.
Peahen roughly 6 years old
Middle- roughly 2 months old. 4 tractor supply mixed bin females.
1 bantam roo
Youngest- 2 silkies, one silver laced polish, one gold laced wyandotte and a lavender cochin
I'm currently planning on getting a lapponian herding dog in the next year or two. I'm hoping to add another cow and also looking into getting another Morgan in the future.EasternShowBarn

Oh sharing pets is so fun!
At our house we have just 2 dogs. Both from the same shelter just 6 years apart. Both goobers. The shelter claimed one was a lab (he looks it) and the other a border collie (definitely a pittie mix). The first my hubby picked out before we met and he's the best dog named Blue and the kid loves him to sleep in his room. The other is an anxiety riddled, goober pup named Boone that came from Oklahoma. He adores my husband. And he has the most striking eyes; so blue they are almost white.
At my inlaws we keep our 2 ponies. Arizona, our lil red roany pony who is 11.2(?) hands and is for the kiddos to ride but they don't care for it much. And then Lily our 13.3hh paint horse who turned 3 last month. I got her as a yearling to hopefully raise up to be my next riding horse. She is in my opinion the prettiest mare I've seen and a sweet lil girl. I just wish both girls were horse height since they are rock solid and great to be around.ID 52206

She/her -
I have 2 dogs, one cat, and a wife.
Max is my 18 year old long haired mini dachshund. Mostly blind, partially (selective) deaf now, but happy as the day is long!
Riley Rose is my border collie. My sister in law was fostering her for a shelter. Sweet as the day is long, funny, WAY smarter than she should be, and just all around a great dog!
Alex is my 14 year cat. He's a plain gray tabby and is FAR to dignified to be caught playing. Not that he doesn't play. Just don't try to catch him at it!
The wife.....well, you know how it is!
Zen Corgi's GSD is amazingly gorgeous, and REAAAALLLYY well behaved, especially for his age! -
I have 2 dogs - full sisters - husky lab shepherd crosses adopted during COVID - Nikki and Georgia
3 cats - one 8 to long haired ginger, 1 yo short haired ginger, 1 8 month old calico - Tigger, Leo and Dinah
1 sex crazy budgie - Winnie
1 7 yo guinea pig- Peaches
2 gold fish - Pringles and Cheesie
1 Hedgehog - Fluffy
1 Percheron/Tb - B
soon to have chickens again
1 17 yo son, 1 23 yo daughter, 1 disabled spouse
all on my 5 acre farm! -
@oldcat, what does a sex crazed budgie do? @-)
I don't know anything about birds. Are they all so... amorous? -
@Duven
All the budgies and green cheek conures that I've had have also been .... frisky. Some more so than others. In my experience they do tend to be extra frisky a few months out of the year (which would be their natural breeding season). Petting a bird anywhere but the head is an invitation to well get frisky. They will be frisky with bird toys (toys not intended for said friskiness), their owners or other birds.| #59142 | Spotted | Reiner | Chocolatey | Enchanting | Stygien | Lunara |Thanked by 1OldCat -

@Duven they're definitely hilarious and quirky. lol.| #59142 | Spotted | Reiner | Chocolatey | Enchanting | Stygien | Lunara |

@Duven @Cottonwoods I used to have a rooster that was in love with one of my boots. He'd always try to get frisky with it, while I was wearing it, every time I was in his pen. I don't know if y'all know anything about chickens, but he was a Bielefelder and he was huge.#28036

@Haltanny
I have 3 easter egger roosters and they run from us. I haven't noticed any friskiness between them other than with the hens.
My quail on the other hand. That was crazy. We had one male this spring that his hormones were so strong or off balance (however you want to look at it) and he unalived all his pen mates. It was like a battle field in the pen. After much research we found out that its not uncommon for quail to become so frisky that they unalive their pen mates.| #59142 | Spotted | Reiner | Chocolatey | Enchanting | Stygien | Lunara | -
@haltanny, ha! How funny a specific clothes item did it for him. We all have our kinks I suppose.
@cottonwoods, that is terrifying! One would think that strong of a reaction would work itself out of the genetic pool. Maybe in the wild they have a way to escape? -
@Duven thats the conclusion we came to.| #59142 | Spotted | Reiner | Chocolatey | Enchanting | Stygien | Lunara |

@Duven Our budgie has a toy that is made of soft rope and blocks. He likes that because the rope moves with him. The only issue though is noone is willing to touch said toy when his cage needs cleaned. It just stays on the same side and everything else moves around it.

I currently dont have any of my own animals that I interact with on a daily basis.
However, my roommates have two cats. One of them is a grumpy calico female. She doesn't like me too much because I accidentally touched her tail 9 months ago while running my hand along her back. Her name is Ivy.
But they also have a young male orange cat. He is awesome and sometimes comes in my room and curls up with me etc. His name is Baron.
With my mom and step dad at home I have a lab that we rescued. He's the most "mine" out of the dogs but he keeps running away from me when I beg him to stay in my bedroom with me. His name is Gunner.
At that house we also have a German Shepherd named Kassie, and an English pointer named Charlie.
We also have 3 horses on the property. A retiree we inherited with the house named Parker. We lost both of his pasture mates, so we recently started basically leasing a rescue mare from our trainer to live with him. I don't remember what her name.
The last horse is a half friesian/half Percheron named Mike. He is mostly Lane's (moms bf) horse and he drives him. And Ive ridden him some.
At the show barn we have a relatively new western pleasure/all around gelding named Woody. He's mostly moms horse but I swear he loves me more <3. I've only ridden him like 4ish times <br />
And last but not least, my life, my everything Lexi is leased out atm as a broodmare. She has a lovely little filly named Xena. Hopefully I can post pictures in a bit.Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

Oh what a great post, in the past I have had goats, chickens, mice etc but right now just the horses, dogs and I.
I have two border collies, my dogs come everywhere with me, at the moment it's easy as I've just been on my little farm, but in the past I have lived in mining towns etc and always had my dogs.
I have Pol, named for the town where she was born, Miepoll, 12 years ago. And I have the newer boy Cruiser, he's 2 and a half now. At the moment all the cropping farmers are shooting kangaroos, so they keep bringing back parts of dead kangaroo, and eating them obviously!! I will be very glad when harvest season is over and no more dead roos. There is too many for me to keep the dogs away from. They shoot the roos to keep them off the crops, there is a lot around, the population will be fine after harvest. I'd love it if the roos stayed off my place as they jump through and wreck the fences.
I also have approx 14 gypsy cobs, with 6 foals due in the next few months. Our foaling season starts in august, but none of mine are too early. the first one due in about 5 weeks.
This is Cruiser
