What does Show only mean?
-
Sorry if this is a dumb question, or if it's already answered somewhere else. I am trying to start backwards breeding, and I created a horse whose papers came back Show only. Is Show only worse or lower than Failed papers?
-
They are equal, Failed is mares and Show Only is stallions/geldings. I found this information in the User Guide:
Showable Only: This means just that, should only ever be used for showing. Consider it a definite fail as far as breeding stock is concerned.
Failed: The mare equivalent of a stallion's "Showable Only" result. This mare has no place breeding -
Just wanted to note that In a backwards breeder herd, failed/show only are the preferred paper level.#28036
