Furūsiyya is the historical Arabic term for equestrian martial exercise. Furūsiyya “Knighthood” is a martial tradition dating back to pre-Islamic Arabia. I looked it up!

@minute gulastra plume only affects bay horses. Chestnut and black horses will carry the gene but not express it.
The horse it is named after was chestnut with no white on his tail but all his bay foals inherited the plume. -
@silverborn, thanks for the info! It will definitely come in handy if I decide to GMT this boy to a more fun color to complement his plume.
