So pretty, everyone!

I have some genes I’d like to stick on some horses (Void, Jewel Box, and Ice19 are high on my list!), but this one is my primary project:

She will become a stallion and be used for both my mushroom line and my platinum line. :) Still needs satin, a copy of flaxen, and perhaps some white spotting genes/KP2? Decisions to be made… maybe even DFP…

I did the majority of GMT work a few seasons ago on this girl. She’ll be getting another GP and possibly Gray Reduction. She’ll probably have one silver removed and the SB2 will be switched to W3 even though I put them on since plans have changed for her.

Everybody's projects are gorgeous! I seemed to have over-indulged though. I spent all but 15 of my GMTs making these kids 8-} though I did pick up a ton of licenses I was missing! Don't judge Madison too harshly, she is a conglomeration of genes I needed the license for, but don't necessarily look good together, bless her heart ♡

This boy has a little bit of a story ...

01SVY October Again

You see, when I was a kid I had a big box of Breyer horses. Many were bought new, but I had a core collection that were found at thrift stores and garage sales, and among those was this large beautiful and energetic model of a black appaloosa. I named him October, and he was the sire of my vast herd until I stopped playing with them. Even after that, I remembered him fondly, like a cherished stuffed animal.

When I first joined HaJ many years ago I made a black appaloosa draft foundation stallion that had just the right blanket look, and October lived again. He's long since been archived, but I still have his bloodlines in my barns, and eventually I made a breed to honor him and track his descendants, called Tenebria.

Fast forward to now, with our glorious BC's and now having the most gorgeous Akhal Teke BC I've ever seen, I'm resurrecting the spirit of October once again while also paying homage to the Nez Perce of my home state and their breeding project to recreate the Nez Perce horse breed and their cherished horse culture. :x
