@ShowJumping4Ever You’re certainly asking all the right questions and picking up quick! You’ll get it figured out in no time.

You’ll be able to spend game money to get the basic upgrade - it costs 30 IVs, and each IV costs 12500 hbs. It can take you a little while to save up for but just take it one IV at a time and you’ll have it before you know it. This is a pretty slow paced game so taking a month or two isn’t really going to cause any problems, you can play at your own pace and you won’t miss out on hardly anything.

The fantasy gene licenses cost real money, however, later on when you have more hbs saved up, you can offer to pay a lot of hbs to get someone else to buy the gene license for you, so technically everything in the game is completely F2P accessible as long as you’re patient and save your money. :)

The best way to make hbs is with a show herd - having lots of horses with lots of points that you don’t breed, you only train and show. You snip them (geld or spay) to make them better at showing. Hoard enough of these, and you can use the hbs they give you to buy barns to keep more, which makes you even more money, and gets you more barns for more, and eventually you’ll be making 100k+ per day in show bonus. Some of the biggest barns around here are even making around 1 million hbs per day. :D
