    Every year around Christmas my household makes these raisin filled sugar cookies and i love them so much! They are layered with the raisin filling in the middle, and end up looking somewhat like creme filled pancakes (i think thats what they are called anyway?) and are really sweet and mild so i tend to eat a lot of them at once lol, they end up pretty soft ♡
    The recipe for these cookies is pretty old and i cant find any cookies that taste the same anywhere and it gets me so sad lol, the people we shared it with who have followed the recipe dont end up with the same taste either, so i always love it when we get to making them every year ♡

    This year for Christmas we made Starchies! What are they? Lovely, delicate little cookies hailing from the 1910s, made with butter, sweetened condensed milk, and cornstarch. They are crumbly, delicate, and silky. Perfect with a cup of hot cocoa topped with whipped cream. Yum!

    I live in Bellingham, WA, and there's a local distillery called Chuckanut. They make this holiday liqueur called Krampus - it's like gin, but if you used holiday spices instead of juniper. My partner and I discovered it's AMAZING in Trader Joe's Wassail (which is like spiced cranberry fruit punch), cold or hot! Gonna make some tonight :x

    I know you're done but I wanted to suggest some "odd" foods.

    Breaded chicken patty dipped in sweet and sour sauce with a grilled pineapple ring and grilled onions on a toasted bun or roll. Absolutely awesome. The cafe across from my job sells a grilled chicken version, pineapple isn't grilled and they use red onions, and it's good. But I made it at home with breaded chicken, sweet grilled onions and grilled the pineapple and my spouse asks for it a couple times a month now. When I first made it, my spouse gave me a funny look and asked if we had peanut butter.

    If you like spicy, buffalo chicken with pineapple. First time I had this combo was an accident. I had ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and one slice had a couple pieces of pineapple on it. They noticed as they were cutting it and came out to see if we wanted it remade but I was like "I love pineapple, I'll eat it". It was so freaking good, I order buffalo chicken pizza with pineapple now. Usually I get weird looks, but everyone I've talked into trying it has loved it. It's also good as sandwich, or just buffalo wings with a side of pineapple rings or chucks.

    @Haltanny Those sound great! Definitely adding it to the list of "to try" lol! People give pineapple on pizza such a bad rep but with the right combo of toppings it can be really good :D
