Ooh I love this!

I've been a little under the weather, but today I got out of the house for some errands. I had music playing in my car, and I was able to see some lingering foliage on the backroads near my house. It was beautiful!

I saw an otter! It was a truly magical little moment. To top it off, my boss called an end-of-day 2 hour meeting that I was NOT happy about, and then it turned out to actually be her getting us all together to have smores over a fire on the work patio, then send us home an hour early. Little things!

Decided to build my son(10) and nephew (13) a proper fort today, they have been using bushes lol ... so I got to sit by my fire that they learned how to build and make log window covers and a door that rolls down. It was a fun experience and brought back some bittersweet mementos of my dad.

My friend that I rent her mother-in-law apartment from was out of town over in Greece and Dubai and Egypt and she bought me the most beautiful thoughtful gift! I read A LOT of books and she found a beautiful handwoven bookmark in Greece that she brought back for. It was really awesome that she thought of me on the other side of the world on her vacation :) wish I knew how to post a pic here lol

I've been helping move my grandparents into care facility, stressful week, but one of the other residents called my dad cute while we were moving things in and it made us giggle. :) I also got to see my aunt who I haven't seen in about 15 years!

I sprained my ankle last week. Since I’m a farrier that means it’s been a tight week this week because I had to postpone my appointments until next week. I also do craft fairs on the weekends and I’m set up at one this weekend that is pretty slow because of the weather. My favorite taco truck that I eat at a couple times a week is also set up here. Since it’s a tight week, I just ordered two tiny street tacos instead or my normal order. When he called my order number, I was surprised to see he’d prepared my regular order of three tacos, a cup of Mexican street corn, flan, and a large horchata! When I went to pay he said it was on the house. :)

I am thankful for all the many blessings in my life. I am able to work from home, I have a roof over my head and food to eat, I have two amazing dogs, and I still have my mom and sister alive. Extra things like having a small area for me to grow indoor plants, having my own office, and having friends that support me are also things that make me forever grateful. :)

I am unbelievably thankful for my wonderful six year old and how good our relationship is as a mom and child. They’re truly the coolest kid and I’m glad every day I get to be their mom. I’m thankful for my fantastic girlfriend, who is my rock and support and my best friend. I’m thankful for my silly, fluffy little cat, who I’m obsessed with, and my service dog, who’s trying her best. I’m thankful I’m alive, and my health is sort of evened out right now and somewhat manageable.

And I’m thankful for getting the last jellied cranberry sauce last night while last minute shopping haha :))
