I've been feeling uninspired by my chinchilla line and have been considering getting out of it altogether. Before I did, however, I wanted to see if spicing it up with some interesting/different genes made me excited about it again.

I originally fell in love with the steely grey dapples of chinchilla. I know my current line is a bit heavy on red-based and cream horses, which is washing/whiting them out, and I'm going to start selecting against those and revert to my silver bay and silver black base I started with.

But what are things that you think look good with chinchilla? I know I can use the search function to see how gene combos interact; I'm more looking for combos I wouldn't necessarily look for amongst the thousands of searches I could run.

Oh, for non-licensed, S+ is a really gorgeous addition, it makes the dappling much stronger. For licensed, toner is really stunning!

Oh man I love my chinchillas! I love extra pops of flash and colour in the form of inkspot, toner, DFPs, ice 19, and phantoms! I'm slowly adding void, too, but I just have a lot of fun with this line. :)

Good luck! If you want a boost for some of those, you're welcome to look through my barns. Lots of toner and watercolor to go around. I'd be happy to part with a mare or three from my main bootstrap herd or any of the other barns/pastures, straws and eggs too. Just let me know what catches your eye!
