What causes this? *rerolled portrait*

I just created this VOS mare and rerolled trying to get blue eyes. Then I saw this. What is the marking on the white spot on her barrel? Is just the base color showing through? I've never seen it like this :)

Yes its the w2. Just an additional comment- the white isnt the base color the white is the pinto markings :) Shes black with white markings not white with black markings not trying to be annoying just trying to inform!
