Ideas for breeding project featuring this guy?
-
I love this dude. He doesn't fit the usual profile for a horse I'd buy (pigment-wise, PT-wise or paper-wise), but I dunno - He's pretty and he speaks to me. He doesn't fit into my lines, so I'm thinking I'll have to start a breeding project based around him to use him for anything, but realistically he feels like a pretty blank slate as far as genes go... What breeding project would you start with these genes?
Black: e/e Bay(Agouti): a/a Gray: G/G Sooty: Sty/Sty Flaxen: f/f Dense Pheomelanin: DP/- Pangare: P/p
Kit Genes: W3/- Kit Promoter: KP2/-

I'd breed in champagne and do a gray champagne line for that beautiful metallic look, especially with some tobiano and W20 on the mares, or even kit M if you can spare the GMTs. I love W3 best with W20, and tobiano is always gorgeous. But I think definitely go for hom kit and maybe even rabicano so the KP2 can do its magic. :)

@Cavalynn
Ooh, great idea! I could probably pull some ch / prl / to / ra fillies from my 1st / 2nd gen.... :)

I'd probably add some grey reduction genes to slow down the greying process.#28036
