Hey haj folks!

We’ve all been there. Something doesn’t go the way you want- you waste hbs or GMTs and it just doesn’t pan out, or a foal misses every gene you wanted them to get.
Yesterday was one of those days for me. I love to compete on the boards, and I double boost. I sink a disgusting amount of hbs into my ponies. It’s horrendous. It’s wonderful.
I’ve been trying to get my liver chestnut line off the ground for months But I keep hitting road blocks. Yesterday was another one! Whoops. I carefully picked a horse for a double boosted liver stallion, and finally boosted him. And guess what that criminal did? Stayed at **star. I think he did it just to spite me :)) So many hbs absolutely wasted on that punk of a pony, ahaha!
Part of me wants to geld him and toss him in a show barn as punishment, but I think I’ll make him a mare and figure something out for him once I’m done being mad at him. :)) I’ll have to sort through my livers and see if I can find another boy to pair with my fancy liver mare.
Okay enough about my epic fail this week! Tell me about yours! Show me your punk ponies- the ones who just didn’t live up to your hopes. Show me the ones that came from super flashy parents and ended up as a plain bagel. Show me your ponies you boosted only for them to say “no thanks” and stay at their current paper level. Show me your accidental low PT babies, low papers, etc you weren’t aiming for. Part of what’s fun with breeding is how much things can surprise (and even disappoint) our stables- the chaos is part of the journey.
