Do you have a link to the horse? Even if you don't own the horse, you can still look at its Tack tab to see what tack items it's wearing. I've never heard of a black hoof polish tack item but it could be part of a tack pack that you can buy. I don't see it on the list of basic free tack that you can add to any horse. The horse could also just have black hooves. Horses with white legs, both on HJ and in real life, often have light colored hooves but this is not always the case. When I was in elementary school, the short stirrup horse I shareboarded was a little chestnut TB with 4 white socks and 4 black hooves. People used to ask me all the time if I put hoof polish on him and I never did except for shows. One of my HJ studs looks like he might have hoof polish because he has 4 white stockings but all his hooves are black.

It was a tack item from before the horse images were updated. It stayed around for a while after but didn't line up with the hooves properly so I believe it was taken off. My guess is the person who owns the horse has another horse with it on from before it was taken out and they copied it onto this horse.

That's my RS guy that I created today. Somewhere along the lines of purchasing horses, one of them had black hoof polish and I just so happened to copy his tack onto a few of my creates. Apparently the polish copied over too. AHayesHorses was right:)

It looks a little funny but I love the black hoof polish I think it's pretty :)

There are restrictions as to where you can place a tattoo. Hooves are not one of them.
