Hello haj friends!
I’m one of the discord mods and I run the breeding circle in game chat.
Our little breeding community is awesome. We love new additions! We have a variety of experienced and new players, who share tips on gameplay with each other. We have even breeders and bootstrappers, it’s a wonderful mix of folks. We also just chat and have fun! It’s really a laid back, awesome community on discord just like it is here on the haj forums and chats.
Come join us! Not only will you get your own stallions qualified for the boards, but you’ll also have access to a lot of stallions at free or reduced stud and straw fees which can help out your breeding programs a lot. You’ll have a good variety of players to ask questions and advice. We also often share creates with each other (especially if you’re looking for something specific!) and sell horses. Being a part of a close knit chat that we help each other out in means we have a lot more access to horses from other breeding programs etc! I think that’s one of the best things that’s come out of this for me- being able to share my bloodlines and bring in new blood from stables I love. It’s definitely opened up a lot for us as a community.

I think the best part of being in this chat is hearing about how pestilenttempest wastes HBs!

I know I have certainly appreciated being part of this discord - it's been a delight to pick 'favorites' among folks' studs and root for them and their foals (looking at you, Factotum). It has been exceptionally useful for the futurities, but also just a lot of fun.

Next up on my agenda: how I consistently waste my gmt tokens ^_^

As a person who has significantly less time than I'm used to (newish baby, plus work sending us back to in-office has destroyed me), the discord route has made it really easy for me to actually participate in the futurity fun! Being able to just scroll through and look at a bunch of studs for each Era in one place is a lot less time consuming (and less mentally taxing) than searching through multiple forum posts, for sure.
It is also nice to see everyone brag about their babies & successes, and see RL stuff, and just generally hang out. I don't say much, but I enjoy being a digital people-watcher in there!

The discord definitely keeps me going. Amazing people and so much fun. Plus awesome studs and getting to ooh and aah over the babies too!

It's a great discord server! We talk about all kinds of things in there, there's horses but also dogs and other pets going on. And, we aim for every stud to get 10 foals per season. Once they reach that point, we remove them so others get a turn. It's been really successful!

You don't have to stick to only futurity stuff, either. If you are doing your own breeding and get a cute foal, show us! We love to see the successes, even if they're not futurity related. ♡
