Hi all

First off, I'm so glad to be back. I've had literally a year away from the game due to one thing or another. Although I follow on Facebook, so I do have a general idea of what has changed while I have been gone.

The sad part of my time away is that all of my horses are very aged or aged out. I have one 19yr old and the rest are in their mid-20s and over. Am I better off just auctioning all that is remaining after tonight's rollover and starting again? Fortunately, this is a well-established account so I have the funds to survive rebuilding a show herd from the bottom.

On the plus side, I knew I was likely to stop playing so luckily I seem to have pulled straws and eggs from quite a few of my expensive foundations so that's a very good start.

Welcome back! If they have points and you have space I would just hold them and let them pass naturally. Don't forget you can also clone some of them.

Thanks Ammit. I am super glad to be back. Dreading looking at my other accounts as they were so much smaller I fear they will just be a case of starting back from 0. I do not think anyone particularly strong from any of my breeding lines is still around, but I will have a look at what I have here intact and go from there.

Glad you are back. I can do herd helpers for you too if there are any you favor. Just post what size and age horse you like and we can create lots. I also save most of my spelds as show ponies if you need any.

I don't know if you left when Pointed Creates were a thing, but players under a certain number of held points can create foundations with points. Another cutoff is total points on living creates, but that's a lot higher of a cutoff than the points held. These can be good to sell or help build up your show herd.

We've also started something called "Stallion futurities". A stallion needs 10 foals bred and owned by someone else, with the same Era, and 5 years or younger. A lot of incentives are being tossed around by stud owners who want to try and win one of these placings, and the foal owners do also get GMTs! Could be good to look at too

Thanks peeps. I'm not 100% sure what I'll be doing with my lines yet. I've got lots of eggs/straws from my special foundations luckily so I'll be getting on with those for now.
I will be on the hunt for bootstrap horses to rebuild my show herd.

Pointed creates have been a thing for a very very long time haha. However I am aware there has been some changes in the caps on them. None of my accounts would have been young enough for pointed creates anyway.

I am aware of the futurities, but need to do lots more reading before I get going with that. It does sound like something we wanted to do a few years ago but was banned as the game wasn't quite structured right to manage it yet.

I'm super excited to see how I get on and excited to see where I take my breeding goals next
