Gene not pedigree acceptable?

When trying to GMT this foal, I keep getting the message "Could not edit horse. An error has occurred: Gene not pedigree acceptable." I was trying to change her DF1 to DF2 on the sire's strand of DNA. Curious what it means and why it can't be changed? The sire carries both alleles on the DNA strand that was inherited.

I've actually had this same problem with one of my colts. I wanted to swap the ISP to TNR on strand one so he'd have all 4 of his sire's watercolour genes, but I kept getting the 'gene not pedigree acceptable' error. Same thing when I tried on strand 2. His sire has both, so I'm not sure why I can't switch one?
