I have always loved the pointed creates and so helpful. :) But you don't know how to price these as a newbie and you do get that naughty sign saying that 2500hbs is normal (which let's face it is out of date now).

At free level you cannot enter a horse into auction when it is going which you can on upgraded accounts.

By the second day (less than 24 hours) I had bought an upgrade which is really good (by selling pointed creates) much better than the old "breed in pasture and auction both method" which I was never happy with but was a way to make money in the old days.

I like doing the little achievements. Money is a better reward for achievements. 5% towards another stall means very little at the beginning.

I also think more emphasis on showing is always good. Free accounts could do with the mass enter button too as we should be trying to encourage this as we all know show bonus is what counts in the end. Also maybe even more achievement money bonuses for showing.

Ok. Since the game has put a cap on how many pointed horses I can make I completely changed my tactics...
I took down all my sales as I had enough money to buy a 210 stall barn and I put all my pointed horses in there - I made my first show barn :)
I then had a look in foundation rescue and picked up some more pointed horses as I will reach the 100k of points made pretty soon but am not at the 60k points owned yet. I think this will stop people selling so many pointed creates (but will probably still sell a few). Hopefully a good compromise.

Ammit - this is a really good feature :)

Also the extra money for the achievements is a great incentive :)

OK. I am now 62000 points held which is probably better than I was when I first started with my main account. I am keen to get to 80000 because I know that will unlock 250k hbs but picking up show ponies with some points is now more expensive and actually quite difficult.
I cannot create pointed horses now even if I went below 60000.
I have decided to breed a little bit but just experimental at this stage and I have to sell those foals really to get a bit of money as I don't have the space to keep them.
I was expecting people to buy my unpointed RSs at 5k but they are not. :(
Things are now a little slower and I know this is the game we play. I suspect this will be where a few people stop playing.
Monday is the day I show all my horses and people need to remember to keep back a bit of money to do this.
More achievements with hb incentives for training and showing your horses each week may be a good thing rather than just points held. :)

Actually with a good auction last night and picking up some older horses in foundation rescue I have managed to get up to just over 100k pints held. :D Getting all those hbs was so good...

I also sold the new RSs for a pretty sum. :)

All the hbs went straight on another barn and I now feel like I'm growing.

I feel it would be useful for newbies to understand the search system earlier. I have used it a lot to search for pointed horses to buy and also to look at market values for RSs so I can sell them.
I tend to use the "Tattoo name" a lot to find things. I can't find anything in the FAQs to explain what this is. I used to think (when I first started) that it was just for finding a player tattoo.

wow impressive! I found the different customs on Forest made it difficult for me to use the strategies that work on bluegrass

I am now up to a daily payout of 13k which although small is enough for a bit of playing around each day. :)
I own 336 horses with about 10% that are intact that I may be breeding.
Going to try a bit of snowflake on here for a while :)

Well, I am now up to 18k daily payout so well on the way to a decent barn. Coming in during the June celebrations has been great.
I think all the changes have been really positive.
The achievement tasks are much more encouraging!
The pointed create changes work nicely and strike a balance between keeping some and selling some. You do need to sell some to make some money otherwise you are very poor to begin with.
Moving to a basic upgrade was really important though. As an non upgrade showing horses is really time consuming and off putting.
Having the PonPon Pinata game to gain a few GMT tokens was lovely for new players as they can get to go in the GMT lab (which is one of the really fun parts of the game).
All in all I have really enjoyed it and am going to continue with the account for a bit and make a little snowflake herd. ;)
