    Ok so now I’m curious … he’s a G3 star, the G2 stud was 2% boosted with what im assuming were both expro foundations. That means I should be able to push for g3 star/gold papers because I have a g2 stud with the same boost… do you think ? I started an A paper foundation just to boost a little extra to hit that g3 mark but man, I wonder if that was even necessary… :-/

    @RubyJoFarm correct. I've gotten G2 studs that were the same quality as his sire with no boosting, so it is possible. I know me and @Cheers have both gotten 3rd gen stars from unboosted lines! Probably others as well.

    @RubyJo I have gotten the VERY occasional Star or Gold gen 3 from ExPerf/ExPro foundations and non-boosted A/Blue gen 2s. I now require all my gen 3 colts to test AGA Star to stay intact, and boost them up to Star if I use them as stallions if they aren’t naturally Stars (otherwise they make very nice sex changed mares!). All my girls have full pasture bonus at all gens. I’ve only ever gotten one Gold, but I’ve gotten a good handful of natural gen 3 stars! I think 2 of my current gen 3 breedable stallions are natural Stars.
