Thoughts so far today: logged in for the day and didn't get the "log in a second day" achievement, even after a couple hours delay. Maybe it's set to 24 hours from first log in/creation, but it would make more intuitive sense to kick in from game rollover.

Oh, strange, I did. I had to input my username and password. Is there a log-in form that does or doesn't work?

Definitely something that might need to be either updated or mentioned for new users then, yeah.


Further thoughts across the past few days: the achievements cover the actual breeding of horses and showing them well, but leaves a fair amount to be desired in all the other game functions.

I'm not sure how much could be added via achievements, and how much just needs a better tutorial, but to some extent some guidance towards these things would be useful:

- Horse search. It's a very powerful tool, but with it comes a steep learning curve. This may not be able to be incorporated into achievements, per se, but something to explain it to new players would be good.

- GMTs/IVs. This one is trickier, because if introduced TOO early it could easily come across more intimidating than need be. It's more of a mid to late game function given the amount of money needed to invest in it. Maybe as a reward for completing all achievements getting one or two GMT tokens? It could help a new player dip their toes into the pool while still realizing that they have a way to go to get there. It also gives them something to earn towards.(answering the "but WHY do I need a big show herd" question). This could also be approached in a similar way with tack packs: maybe for the achievement to tack up a horse, it has to take the player to the tack pack purchase page first, where the default tack pack is free but must be unlocked by clicking on a button to "buy" it like you do the others. Again provides the "but what do I want that much money for" answer. (Obviously the answer is also "for breeding" but a new player does not understand to just what scale that happens and may continue to think of breeding as "cheap" until they get a much more sizable herd).

- Licenses. Also kind of tricky because you don't want it to come off as shilling for money. But some sort of "hey check this out, you can get cool fantasy genes this way" might be useful.

- Pastures vs barns: the explanation isn't really super present, some better tutorial about the difference between them and how pastures are useful could really find a place.

- Auction: knowing how to auction a horse is only the first step, there's nothing about the rescue IDs or the older horses going for higher prices or anything.

- Breeder clubs: just generally getting more info on them would be useful

- The genetics guide under resources is heavily outdated, this probably needs to be one of the next focuses in terms of updates.



And other side notes:
- the writeup for buying a basic/premium needs to be updated, some of the features and/or the wording is outdated.




I know some of this can be found in the FAQ, but in my experience an FAQ works better as a way to find things you've already been taught and/or to find expanded information on them, not as the only way to find some integral functions in the game, hence why I'm suggesting some other approach for these.
