GMT Help!! Why is my horse Peach??
-
I'm trying to modify this Breaking Bread horse, which was a nice brozey-gold color. When I added Dun, it turned this weird peach color. I tried changing to nd1 with no effect, tried changing base color to black and bay to no avail. When I removed nd1, the horse stayed peach. Can anyone help me here? It's getting expensive to add and remove genes over and over. I want it to be golden, similar to this horse:

We can hell more if you include links to the actual horses instead of just the images.
ETA: Interesting the links are there on desktop but not mobile.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

Breeding brown/liver/black with white spotting drafts. If you ever fancy straws PM me. PM me if you need help with GE.

I would say your Baking Bread looks a bit like a buckskin. I am not sure why a champagne pearl doesn't look more like the second one - sorry. Maybe someone else can help? I can find examples of both "peachy" color and the golden color with pearls.Breeding brown/liver/black with white spotting drafts. If you ever fancy straws PM me. PM me if you need help with GE.

Looks like it was out of date generation, champ was bugged to be way too yellow for a bit there. I regenerated the Silver Classic Champagne and you can see the proper color now. Let me know if you need some refunds. You want palomino if you want gold or perhaps champ. Having pearl and champagne together is causing the more intense dilution.
Here is silver and classic without pearl on top.

So, if I understand correctly, I either need to make her black-based and remove Pearl, or make her red with only 1 pearl and remove Champagne? It's the Champagne and Pearl combo that is making her the peachy color?
Refund isn't necessary but would be appreciated for sure. I suppose I spent several hundred thousand adding dun, changing to nd1, removing nd1, and tinkering with black & bay. -
Why don't you find a horse with the color you like first and then we can check if that color is possible. That way we can figure out together what you need to edit rather than making random edits.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. @Ammit Me and BravoButts talked a bit in the Player Support chatroom, and I think we came to a rough gene sequence that they want based on this horse, just without all the white and blue eyes:
https://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=8588280
Basically a Dark liver chestnut with hom pearl, hom tiger eye, and satin. Reseed the horse image until eyes are blue. From what I've seen on the horse search it should be possible, due to horses like these:
https://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=7626906
https://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=7023203Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable.
On the look out for pointed creates -
I would not use appaloosa as a base to go off of because Appy causes bronzing and color shifting. Liver chestnut pearl is doable though. :) I'll play a bit with the horse and see if I can nail that.
ETA: well I was going to do the edit to try and fix the horse but it looks like Bravo may have done even more edits? I don't want to touch the horse now because they keep changing it. It would be a good idea to stop making edits until we can sort out what we actually want. You are not going to get blue eyes with those genetics. Definitely stop making changes until we confirm exactly what you want. No point tossing cash into the fire. ;)Need to contact me? Read this first. Ammit, I'm trying to get a golden horse with blue eyes, as close to a golden foil type look as possible. Something like this horse, but without the white:
https://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=8588280
I was pretty close to achieving the goal with this horse, which used to be golden, but I guess with the new color updates, all of my golden horses turned brownish or orange.
https://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=8282668
This one was a different shade of golden and now it's orange.

Unless you want an appy please pick some non-appy examples. Appy changes the color. :)Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

I'm having trouble finding any in the game anymore, other than the the original color of the 1st golden horse I posted above, and the appy horses. The horses I had in my stable that used to be golden have now turned brownish or orangey with the color update.
If golden is still possible, I would like it to be shiny, gold-foil type of color. If it has to be an app to achieve that, I'm ok with it.
If it's any help, I'm looking for something like these real-life PRE stallions, which I believe are pearl or possibly champagne. The bottom one is the color I would really love to see in my in-game horses! :D

The horses in your examples are all pearls. No champagne in the breed.
Here are some pearl examples. Is this what you are looking for.
Chocolate Palomino Pearl
Buckskin Pearl
Bay Pearl
Black Pearl
Brown Pearl
Chestnut Pearl
I am guessing the Buckskin Pearl is most like what you are looking for?Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

Yes, I think the buckskin pearl above is closest to what I was trying to get! In the search, I notice that the majority of the horses have that peachy hue, which would not be desirable to me, but the one you posted above and 1 or 2 in the search have a more golden hue, which I could live with.
I noticed that they all have Prl/Cr. Would homozygous pearl not work for this? What determines if they have dapples or not? -
I found a few more that would work in combination with Onyx. Are any of these colors still viable with the new color update?

What is it about the onyx horses that you like specifically? Is it the bright yellow color? It sounds like you are not actually that into the bronze look of the pearls.
Just a side note rhe Paco Marti photos you posted have very high contrast and saturation to make those horses look over the top metallic. It's more photography than realistic. That is why our horses in game are the same shade as that but not metallic in the same way.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. I like the yellow/golden color and the metallic shininess of the Onyx horses I posted above.
I have a bay pearl Andalusian gelding on my ranch in TX and he looks very similar to the bottom-most Paco Marti horse in the photos I posted, but with more of a muted yellow tone. When he's cleaned up and put in the sun, his coat really does have a significant metallic golden shine to it. I've also had palominos that shine metallic gold in the sun. Maybe it's what people call "chrome?" Even sorrels and bays and other colors can have it and it makes them super shiny, especially in their summer coats in the sun.
I've always liked the ones that look like shiny, metallic gold, so that's why I was trying to make shiny golden horses in the game. :) -
Shiny coats are a product of lighting, nutrition and grooming not genetics hense why we don't have it in the game. You won't get a horse in real life to look metallic with out intense, high contrast lighting. You can add the shiny tack item if you want to boost the shiny though. :)

It took some playing with but I got your horse to how I think you want it. FYI in the end it was panagere that was the culprit. Having p/p is the ticket to yellow horses.Need to contact me?
