Question about showing levels
-
There were some comments on the Breeding Lab Overhaul thread that made me want to ask for more information.
I'm one of those players who has never once used or considered the showing level for any purpose at all. I don't really understand why it matters, unless you're concerned about how much it costs to enter shows. On a very basic level I get that higher show level = more hbs, but that's about it.
Can I hear from some of you who use that information - What's it good for? How does it help you?Folly's Fantasies #43484 (she/her): Horses, straws, and eggs from my Doubleskunk tribute herd are always free. -
A horse that levels off in 8L, even if it levels off at the top of 8L, is going to make a lot less than a horse that levels off at the top or even middle of 8W. This is the same for every level, so 7L pays much less than 7W, 6L pays less than 6W, etc.
It's not really about their actual winnings when you show them. It's about how many points they earn for showing and how much it increases their daily payout. So in other words, the W levels pay out a lot more points which significantly increases the daily payout of the horse, unless they leveled off at the bottom of that class. -
Sounds like it's used for culling purposes then.Folly's Fantasies #43484 (she/her): Horses, straws, and eggs from my Doubleskunk tribute herd are always free.

It can be but you would want to wait until the horse is leveled off. They might be sitting in a bad place but advance and level off really well.Thanked by 1ObsidianKitsune
