A bootstrap is breeding a Star papered stallion to foundation mares, then breeding the fillies back to their sire. You continue doing that until you have Gold papered mares.

It’s a quick way to get higher PT horses, and raise breeding ability. A lot of people say it’s a great way to get good show horses quickly. I personally never found that to be true, I think 2g foals make superior show babies for a new account. But that’s my personal opinion.

It’s also a way to be able to potentially compete on the higher era leader boards.
