Implanting Embryos
-
Does the mare I implant an embryo into matter? Like, should I implant an embryo from 2 foundations into a foundation of the same paper level or could I implant it into a bootstrap mare? Would it pass with a foundation mare and fail with a bootstrap mare?
-
A mare used for an embryo transplant has no effect on the resulting foal. All the foal's color, height, bone weight, breeding and showing ability, etc., characteristics are determined by the stallion and mare used to create the embryo.
However, being used for implanting an embryo does mean that the mare in question cannot be used for either breeding or another implantation until the next game year rolls around.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Thank you. That's what I thought, but wasn't exactly sure.
