Hey all! I'm writing in today from southern California but I'm originally from Arizona. College has made it hard to ride consistently over the last several years but I'm looking to get back into it when I am able to. I've never been too picky about horses but my all time favorites that I've worked with were both American Mustangs that were gathered out of the desert. I'd love to try out some gaited horses, though. From the videos I've seen they look like they'd be really fun to work with.

I would definitely recommend it as a vacation spot, especially some of the Isles and further up in the Highlands but remember your wellies!

@Ammit, I think New York (my resident state of 4+ years) is a further drive than Missouri (born and raised there). I think my employer would not be too happy about me taking another vacation so soon after my wedding, hahaha.

North Central Ohio born and raised. Our claim to fame is the filming location for Shawshank Redemption! My Masters degree has taken me to the Cincinnati area and who knows where my career will take me next! Unfortunately college has interrupted my horse time, but before that I owned a Cajun Quarter Horse mare.

There are quite a few Aussies on here. I'd love to visit sometime...not sure where yet. My dad grew up in Adelaide, but I want to see a Hawks game in the MCG just for the experience! haha

As far as barn name, I used to be a long distance runner. So Run Far Away has been a phrase I've liked for a long time.
