My Star Colt got Gelded?
  • Sorry, I feel like there are a lot of posts like these, but I have my first star colt here, best pasture colt of the year, father was A, mother was B, he is even 5g, seems like a solid colt. Ws so sad to see him not in my stallion lineup after I tested everyone. Any guesses why he got gelded so I decide If he goes in my group of future GMTed horses to unaltered him? I'm just rather confused and feel like a newbie again.

  • It could just be a bad roll. I would put him in your list to unalter. I am not the most knowledgeable about it though. Still learning.
  • I would guess that he is inconsistent enough to have been gelded for that. So unaltering him and GMTing him consistent would probably work.

  • Do all your testing. You would already know the answer if you did.

  • Do horses have to be under 4 to be unaltered? Can I change consistency on geldings? Just trying to figure out how I would get this to work.

  • You can unalter him and then make him super consistent in the lab. Same age rules apply.
  • Hmm, guess I have done fund raising to do.
