    What's the rule of thumb when deciding how much hbs a real-money gene is worth?

    How do I know what to offer for a certain gene license?

    I was hoping to get some genes, but I put most of my money into IV's/GMT's already cause I thought we would get a GMT lab sale with extra genes added for Christmas. Maybe I'll just keep waiting till the next time that happens? Or offer GMT lab work plus some hbs in exchange?

    Genes I would be interested in, Mushroom, Onyx and maybe Ink Spot.

    I have a hard time with that also, I just see what the gene cost then see the exchange rate, and double or even triple depending on the cost of the gene,
    I was going to offer 1.5 million for ice 17 per copy and that was 12.50 per copy, but seems I was under because others offered more? So I'm a bit confused on what to offer. I am here to put up an ad for ice 18 1 copy so maybe 2 million for it? Honestly I'm not sure.

    This time of year you typically have to pay more than average because everybody has already bought tons of genes.

    The old exchange rate was $1 to 100k game money. So a $10 gene would be 1mil. Right now the average exchange is more $1 to 125k/150k per real dollar spent. So a $10 gene would be more like 1.5mil.

    However like pestilenttempest said this month in particular you have to adjust the price you offer. I typically offer double the going rate during December sometimes more, especially at the end of the month.

    If I was going to try and pay someone this month, at the end of the month for a 12.50 gene, I wouldn’t offer less than 2mil, If I wanted a $15 gene I would offer 3.5 mil, and if I wanted a $20 gene I would offer 5mil. Hope that helps a bit.
