I have noticed that there are times when the candy pony happens within 50 horses created but there are also times when I have created 60 70 or 80 horses before getting a candy pony. This time I'm over 100 and I gave up trying because I ran out of room in my barns. Why does it not happen 1 in 50 like it says?

My understanding is that it is a probability, not a count! So There is a 2% chance of creating a candy horse the first time you create a horse, a 2% chance the next time, and 2% the time after that.

Sometimes you might get lucky and get a few candy ponies, or you may have days like today where you didn't get one, even with creating so many!

Yes, i asked this same question with the Halloween candy event and Ammit confirmed that it's a 2% chance per horse, the game does not count and dispense 1 candy horse in every group of 50.

I had a set where i made 75 horses last week and none were candy ones. It happens.

Yup 1 in 50 odds means on AVERAGE you get one candy horse for every 50 horses you create. That means 2% of all created horses are candy ponies not that you get 1 for every 50 horses created. That is just how statistics works and is always true for given odds. :)

I have question on candy Ponies. I see when a horse is getting created it will say something like candy coating, then go on to name colors of the horse. Then when it's done it isn't a candy pony. I'm confused why it does that.

I'm pretty sure it triggers the phrase when it checks to see if it is a candy pony, not while the candy is applied.

Yeah it'll say "attempting candy coating" even for horses that can't be one (like a foal born today after i got my candy pony).
