Should I breed more Faulkar the Betrayer foals?

    The long Late Faulkar The Betrayer is in my opinion the best horse I ever owned, also being the last Dark Star bred horse I ever owned... He definitely was the most impressive horse I had as far as leaderboards went and he is in the lines of all my bootstrap horses currently, but now only distantly, and I have a good feeling that my herd is not as good quality as it was back then as result of that. He doesn't have many genes I have bred in and been selecting for, but that may have lead to the downgrade in quality further, and I have those genes in my mares well enough now that I am seriously pulling all my bootstrap mares out of pasture in january (Want to breed a new bootstrap boy in pasture once before I give all the mares to a dead guy for a month) And that way I can get more direct Faulkar descendants again and possibly some which carry a lot of these genes I have been looking for... What do you think, do you think it isn't worth losing the pasture bonus for? Also if I did this would anyone else like Faulkar foals too? Like I have decided to breed all my bootstrap mares that month instead of just keeping to what can be in pasture, so... I hopefully will have a fair amount of good foals I hope.

    If i recall correctly, using a straw to breed gives an automatic 15 day pasture bonus. So you wouldn't totally lose it.

    Also, it's worth mentioning that if you take your mares out, use the straws quickly, and put them back in pasture before a new day starts, you won't lose pasture bonus on your girls. They'll be ready to go for the next breeding season with a full bonus.

    Oh thank you!!!! That just saved me my pasture bonus because I was going to pull them out for longer than that for no reason but to prevent forgetting. Thanks!

    It's my favorite new thing lol, and so easy to forget about. I don't usually pull all my girls out, but sometimes you come across that perfect straw for a mare in pasture and just have to. I love that safety net being there.

    Ok, I have 64 mares lined up for him, (I usually run about 40 bootstrap mares... so yeah) Now just need to remember to pull my mares out of pasture and breed them instead of keeping them pasture. Let's see what happens!
