Let's give back for Thanksgiving this year! Why are you thankful for Ammit and HaJ?
-
I'm thankful for how friendly this game is - not only in the sense of the community, and how wonderful and generous and kind all of you are! - but also in the sense that I've always come and gone from other games because they feel too pressuring about checking in and keeping up with things, but this one is so kind to someone needing to skip a week or three, or even, to an extent, months. Ammit has done such a good job of striking the perfect balance between engaging without being guiltily addictive, and other games could learn so much from her!
I also love how hard Ammit works to keep the game accurate to real life genes, while still throwing in fun fantasy genes to play with!
So why are you thankful for Ammit and HaJ?ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! I'm always selling straws and eggs from anything I have that catches your eye, don't hesitate to PM me and ask! -
My favorite part of H&J is that it has a wonderful community. Unlike other games where you join an alliance and have to log in everyday or you let down your team mates; H&J gives you the freedom to play at your own pace within a supportive community. Everyone who plays is part of your alliance. No where online have I seen a more supportive and giving community. Thank-you Ammit for creating this, and to all the players for making it happen everyday of the year.

I love being able to play on my own, like DragonRun mentioned - no social alliances that I have to join, or timed tasks that I need to keep up with. I can be social when I want, and stay off the forum when I don't. I don't mind spending real cash here since I'm supporting a female owned small business, and my money isn't going to a huge global monopolistic conglomeration. It's kept me interested and coming back for a few years now, and if I start to get bored and take a break, it's easy to come back.
Thank you, Ammit!
And thanks Lallyhop for making this post. I don't say thank you often enough, to anyone.Folly's Fantasies #43484 (she/her): Horses, straws, and eggs from my Doubleskunk tribute herd are always free. -
I'm so thankful for a game that feed my love of horses in a free and fun way, and for how supportive and welcoming the community is!

This game is so kind and supportive. I joined it wanting a new social "thing" that wasn't too intense and it's perfect. If i need to step away, there's no pressure at all - i can step away as long as i need and when i come back it's just like i left. I've needed a few single or multi-day breaks because of stress at work... and there are days it's greatly improved my stress levels after work!
Thank you, Ammit, for making such a wonderfully supportive environment that says "come as you are" and MEANS it. ♡ -
I'm thankful for an escape when things get stressful, painful or just plain simple sad. I have had alot of... ugh... going on, but I can always get away here. Some times I dont have much time to play, but when I do, it's always here waiting :)ID 108

I'm thankful for a place I can nerd out. I have learned so much. Like did you know there were blue people in Tennessee? By talking about the quirks of genetics I have even more fun breeding my horses and seeing what they turn into over generations. That we have the most amazingly supportive atmosphere in our community is a true achievement.45120

I love the community, just like the rest of y’all. I love the no pressure game, like y’all. I LOVE the art work and all the new amazing genes Ammit comes up with for us. I also love that she lets the more talented members of our community contribute to that art work with backdrops occasionally. I love that not only am I supporting a small business, but that I’ve actually talked to the owner and like her as a person. I like that she’s willing to make hard decisions, to make and enforce rules when she has to. I love that she loves us and gets excited about teasing us about new things she’s doing so we can anticipate them with her. I love how much hard work she’s put into the secret Santa system because she wants to promote the supportive community we have. HaJ would definitely not be the game it is without Ammit at the helm, and I’m ridiculously grateful she’s created this amazing place for us to play.

Another thing I love: how friendly everyone is to newbies specifically. Too many communities get gatekeepy about new people trying to join their close knit friend group, but here it's always welcoming new players with open arms. :xID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! I love the community they've created here. Even if you have to step away, reassess and come back after a while, it's always coming back to family. :) Thank you Ammit and the HaJ team! :)
