It's October, which means it's Halloween season! I have lots of ponies, straws, and a good-size daily bonus, so I figured I'd host a little contest to get everyone in the Halloween mood :)

What You're Doing
There are 2 categories: Costumes, and Coats. Horses in the Costume category must be tacked up, though you can choose how little or how much that is! The Halloween tack packs are a great resource ;)

The Coat category will be judged solely on the horse's coat, no tack necessary (feel free to have some, though I'd recommend not covering up the horse's coat). For this category, I'm looking for what horse looks the most unique - if your horse has spooky skulls in its white markings, or if it's bright purple with a green mane, I want to see it!

Prizes
For the Costume category, there's three awards: Spookiest, Silliest, and Whimsical. The Coat category will just have one award.

For each award title, 3 winners will be chosen! Winners will receive prizes as follows:
1st Place: 15,000 hbs, your choice of 1 horse from the intact list (or 3 from the spelded list), AND 5 straws from any of my studs
2nd Place: Your choice of 1 horse from the intact list (or 3 from the spelded list) AND 3 straws from any of my studs
3rd Place: Your choice of 5,000 hbs OR 3 straws from any of my studs

Rules
- Entries will close at rollover on October 31, and winners will be announced shortly thereafter.
- No more than 2 entries per subcategory per person (ie you can have 2 horses each in the Silliest and Spookiest categories if you so desire).
- Any account of any age can participate - just please don't enter with both your main and an alt account.

This was a great reminder to pick up the Halloween tack pack! It was also a perfect opportunity to look through my fantasy speld collection and think REALLY hard about which genes I might wish for at Christmas - I think I'm pretty set on Mushroom and Watercolor, but maybe Lace.

I'm a sucker for dapples, always, and I love the way his lace plays with them, ghosting around the edges! I know he can't compete with some of the fantasy stacks out there, but I wanted to toss a hat in the ring.

One i bred. I was heartbroken to geld him but for my riding line I'm trying to keep frame in the mares only to make breeding safer.

I just love how the purple wraps around her hind end, then disappears except for her eye. Absolutely stunning pattern!

You are usually an introvert who prefers the company of animals but some friends begged you to go to a Halloween party way out in the sticks. When you arrive the host shows you around. There are horses in the pasture just near the barn. Inside is decorated with a few colorful lights. Spooky music is playing. People are dancing and mingling. There is a tiny bar in the corner where someone is serving drinks and there are snacks at a snack table. You thank the host for their hospitality and attempt to mingle but its just not your scene so you go over to the snack table and pick up a brownie before exiting the barn. Munching the brownie you wander over to the pasture fence to see the horses when suddenly....Wait... did the horses look like this when you got here?

@silverborn yes! But it's also the w20/sb1 combo at work as well. The lace you see is really slightly off white and her actual white is now blacked out by warp. I've only had this combo come up a handful of times but it's definitely in my top 5 favorite fantasy combos.
