So many foals...
  • That moment you still have 260 foals to get out of pasture but absolutely no barn space for them nor the funds to buy a large enough barn :'( ~X( I have already tried culling my herds as much as i can and i have all my empty pastures at max capacity with random surrogate mares so i have space in my barns... I'm gonna have to try and cull them down some more...Wish me luck X_X

  • Have you thought about selling straws/eggs to raise money for barns/pastures.

  • Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. Culling existing stock for untested horses can't be fun either. which reminds me... I have a lot of foals left in pasture too.
All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

  • When my barns fill up, I go through all my studs by generation and cull all but my most frequently used boys. Maybe that would help?

    Good luck with your culling!

  • I'm going to spend some time next month seriously streamlining my current lined projects so I can put more effort into producing what I really want. I've found that my barns are full of some horses that I'm just not in love with, and that leads to more foals that I'm not in love with--that just take up barn space.

Then hopefully I'll have more room to stockpile some more show ponies while I work towards my goals.

  • @wendolyne the only straws I could sell would be from Final Studio and I wouldn't be able to sell enough to make much of a difference. The rest of my stock are 100% in house only. But I did think about it so thank you for the idea :)

@WildlandAcres Yeah it is definitely a challenge but I am working on a new culling system so I hope it helps!

@GeneverGinger Culling studs wouldn't help too much space wise because I dont usually keep many unless I want to compare AFPT between a few after each has a season. But thanks for the suggestion!

@BlueValley It is definitely time for me to make my requirements even stricter than they are now! Gonna have to do a massive overhaul of my breeders and show ponies!
