Make 'em big! Make 'em small! Appaloosa Spot Regulator & HMGA2 Height Regulator are now available!

Make 'em big!
Tired of micro-spotting in your appy lines? The solution is here. ASR1 can overwrite micro-spotting and provide a general boost to spot size in your appaloosas. One copy will provide a small to moderate boost to spot size and MIGHT overwrite micro-spotting. You will always see some amount of spot size increase though.
Two copies will completely overwrite micro-spotting and push appy spot size to the max, even past what is normally creatable regardless of the underlying pigment.
ASR1 is available until the end of June. It has no licenses or restrictions.Make 'em small!
Our members have long wanted to breed below 12.0 hh. This is finally achievable with our "Collectable" size ponies and cobs. Each copy of HMGA2 reduces height by around 2 hands. This works independently from normal height inheritance so if you breed an 11hh het stud to an 11hh het mare they might have a 9hh hom foal or a 13 hh hom recessive foal.
Collectible size ponies and cobs are too small to be ridden over fences so can not be shown in our system. They will be marked with an asterisk ( * ) in your barn and have Collectible added to the breed name. The ONLY way to get a collectible size horse via breeding is for the parents to have the active (A) version of HMGA2. If you do not breed HMGA2 you will never get an undersized foal.
HMGA2 is a real gene that has been isolated in shetland ponies, though I have slightly exaggerated the effect to make it work well for our needs.
HMGA2 will be available until the middle of July, and requires a license to own.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

Quick question in regards to chimeras. If you put 4 copies on, does that reduce height 4 times? I just want to make sure the effect before I add too many copies.#28036Thanked by 1HomeSweetHome

Nope. The primary strand is the only strand that controls the visual height.
Though if you are talking about the GMT lab THAT might cause issues. I haven't tested it there. Cash purchases and merging won't cause issues.Need to contact me? Read this first. Cool beans! Exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm using GMT lab, so i'll let you know if it does anything funky if i add more copies.#28036

@Haltanny the worst it will do is give a size smaller than you are allowed on a foundation and would normally have to breed for. I am guessing it will do that. It won't break anything.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. HMGA2 sales are being completely turned off overnight because of all the issues getting it to work properly.

Will the GMT lab still only allow ponies to be GMT’d to create size? As in, they can’t be GMT’d smaller, they will have to be bred?
I don’t think I’m explaining this right. If I have the HMGA2 gene, and I breed my horses, and one is born at 12 hands tall but could be GMT’d smaller since I have the proper license, will I be able to? Or is the pony stuck at 12 hands as the shortest it can go? -
HMGA2 controls the height range you can access.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
