Auction foals sometimes hide the biggest surprises

When I got him from the auction, he didn't have any of the testing done, so I thought he would end up being a gelding.
Turns out I was very wrong!
He was A papered, had a PT score of 11.40, was consistent, and superior to sire!
    And passed BA!
    Its not a lie
Sometimes auction foals do hide the biggest surprises

  • I know I'm guilty for this sometimes... sometimes if they arent as flashy, they get sent regardless of testing especially in the g4+ range.

    Congrats on your lil gem!!

  • I often throw babies into the auction because I'm just out of room. There's sometimes some really nice ones in there that I just don't have room for!
  • Yea, I'm glad I got him!
He might become one of my main breeding stallions

  • I'll throw studs into auction if they don't get the genes and hit the pt I want. Congrats on finding a good one :)
  • I frequently auction a lot of colts that are of good quality because I just have too many. So glad you got a good one you'll love!
  • Glad you found some ya like. :)

If ya'll want some colts I have plenty. :D I usually just toss all boys in auction with out looking at them in less they are from a special foundation and then I only keep the A papered ones.

I have a couple sitting in my barn that I had tested. They were too good to toss but yet I probably wont use them.
