I have it on a buckskin pearl stud (granted I also added Nacre to him but I loved how it looked just as much before I added Nacre) so I say put it on this girl

Really depends on what your goals are for the breeding? Remember it only shows if it's on the first genetic strand (not just the second) for chimera.
I made a paintbrush horse on another server and added hom nexus which looks awesome

Depends on what the gift card is. You can use prepaid credit card-style gift cards for example though normally you need to register them fully with the website to get them to work for online payments. They don't by default.

Got the card to work but the Paintbrush is on the wrong strand. Both copies should have been on the Primary DNA strand.

When you put a gene from the RGS on a Chimera horse it will automatically do both sets of DNA.

There is a warning in the RGS for this:
"Warning! This horse is chimeric and has more than one set of DNA. Both strand one, OR both strand two will be changed by this edit."

So if you added it to the Sire's strand "DNA Strand ONE" the gene will show up on the strand one of both the Primary and Secondary sets of DNA.
If you want the horse to be homozygous you need to purchase a copy for the Dam's strand "DNA Strand TWO" as well.

Paintbrush does not duplicate to both sets of DNA. I purchased 2 copies that were supposed to be on the Primary strand.
