Probably a silly question but...

If I give him a 5% boost will he test at least As Good As his Sire or No? I really want to keep him a Stallion and breed him but I don’t like breeding horses that are worse then their parents.

As I am to understand it, there's a chance he would test AGA. It depends on just how much worse he is from his sire.ID# 25784

There is a very solid chance a 5% will make him as good as his sire.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

Honestly the stud is only 4 so has plenty of time to repeat the breeding next season for a better outcome. (For the cost of a 5% Boost you could breed him 50 times a season for the rest of his life and still save money)
I never Comp test any horse before I send them through SBA and I SBA all my horses from the barn page in bulk before opening any horse pages so there isn’t any “awe that’s a pretty pony” it’s not hard to get superior than sire 2nd Gen horses so I wouldn’t waste money trying to boost a worse than sire horse up to As good as.
If you really want to breed him I would stick him in a barn and when he turns 3 or 4 see what his Sire has produced and if you really think he’s the best of the lot then boost him then.Breeding even generation Grullos with Ice -
@Bandit1119 - I seriously think the chances of his Sire producing another Chimera are kind of slim but then again who knows? He might! I’m really wanting to keep this foal intact because he is a Watercolor Chimera.
-
Well you can always make a Chimera by combining 2 full blooded siblings that test superior and have Water colour for cheaper than boosting this one to being AGA.
There is no right or wrong way to play but I tend to play quality over colour and have been around long enough that if I don’t have strict requirements I’ll be overrun by pretty poniesBreeding even generation Grullos with Ice -
Umm what? How on Earth would I do that? I just looked in the Breeding Lab and I don’t see any way to combine 2 horses. Just a way to Clone one. Am I missing something here?
-
I believe it's at the bottom of the GMT page as an option.
-
Scroll all the way down the GMT page to the bottom, and the button says Inspect this Horse for Merging or something like that. Only horses that meet the basic merge requirements will be listed.Folly's Fantasies #43484 (she/her): Horses, straws, and eggs from my Doubleskunk tribute herd are always free.

He's already a chimera, so you can't mix him with a better testing horse from the same bloodline. I have a little filly chimera from a memory horse I'm boosting. Not because she is a great horse, but because I want to keep her. Ammit has already chimed in that 5% will make him at least as good as. If that's good enough to keep I would say go for it.45120

Seaswell - We’re not talking about merging him with another horse. We’re talking about merging like 2 of his brothers or sisters together. Or at least that’s how I was understanding it.
-
It says that you can only merge Foundation horses together. So I wouldn’t be able to merge 2 of his brothers or sisters together. I’m going to have to give him a 5% boost.
-
You can do lined horses too. But they must have the same sire and dam.
You can't merge horses with the same sire but different dams.
That's how I got this boy, by merging two full-blood horses.

@FolliesFantasies - He’s absolutely gorgeous! Makes me really tempted to merge 2 of my Full Blood Watercolors together. I’d love to know how that would turn out!
